“Dear Martin,

May I on behalf of Mel’s Milers express sincere appreciation for your loaning to the Club the use of metal fencing & blocks for the 14th Annual Multi-Terrain 10k on Sunday 2rd April. Being blessed with decent weather and an unexpectedly high turnout, the event was deemed a success by the independent Race Adjudicator, by comments from numerous race participants and by our own club members, 90% of whom were volunteers on the day.

Mel’s Milers fund raising activities 2016 are directed to making a contribution toward the cost of The Sussex Macmillan Cancer Support Centre, Brighton a joint project by the Sussex Cancer Fund and Macmillan to provide care & support for cancer patients in Sussex. The generous support of our event by Edburton Contractors will greatly assist our efforts in this endeavour, and the final outcome will be reported to you in due course.

Thank you once again.”

“My name is Oisin and I’m the site manager for the Brighton half marathon which is organised by a local charity The Sussex Beacon , as you may or may not be aware we recently had our half marathon on the weekend of 28thFeb , the start finish for this is on madeira drive where I am the site manager and as you know you have a team of guys working on putting up a fence on the site.

I would like to take this opportunity on behave of myself and the rest of the race team to offer our sincere thanks to the guys down on the site ( Simon Reid , Martin Quinn , Jamie Pinder , the other martin and the rest ) for their understanding, co-operation and help through the whole process from build up to breakdown.

I initially was very worried when I first seen the fence going up in December / January but everyone from the team was extremely helpful and reassured me that they would not impact me on the race day. They we’re true to their word and I must say I enjoyed working with them and are a credit to your company.

Once again, many thanks.”

“Dear Martin

Over the last two months Edburtons have been working with BHTC to undertake various projects and yesterday saw the completion of this work with the access protection lines installed on to The Brow and Grove Road.  Together we resurfaced the  footpath from School Close to The Brow, solved the flooding problem on Bridleway 16 and repaired the deteriorating car park surface in Sidney West Community Centre and repaired the wall around the bund.  I also ‘threw’ another project at the team when funding became available through WSCC and together we solved a long standing issue in Middle Way.

Throughout this work Simon and Mark have been a tremendous support; have come up with positive solutions and had a ‘can do’ attitude.  David and Keith, working on the ground have again been great ambassadors for your company and nothing has been too much trouble for them. (I do not have email addresses for them.) I would like to say a BIG THANKYOU to all concerned as Christine, Phil and myself have greatly valued and enjoyed working with your team and we have received a lot of positive feedback from the community.

With very best wishes to all.”

Operational Services Manager

“Hi Mark,

I would like to say that Edburton’s conduct during the works, from the operatives doing the work to the way it was managed by Simon, has been of an excellent standard. This job had to be handled delicately, as the works required access over private land, and the land owner held great concern over their own liability while Edburton contractors undertook the civils work. This was handled exceptionally well by Edburton and a good working relationship between all stakeholders was quickly established at the start of the project.

Simon, Peter, the younger operative (I apologise for not remembering his name), the subs you have used, and yourself, have delivered a sparkling result. We are very satisfied with the work, and will seriously consider Edburton for any future works of a similar nature.

Many Thanks”

“Dear Martin,

We have a group of contractors working outside our school at the moment widening the pavement.

I just wanted to let you know how helpful they have been. I have had 3 coach trips going out this week and they have been fantastic. They moved the traffic lights back and coned off a section at the front so that the coaches could stop outside the school. They have kept an eye out for the coaches and moved the cones when they have arrived.

So I would just like to say a big thank you as it could have been a real nightmare out there, but if anything it has been easier than usual.
