Recycling at Ferry Wharf Site, Shoreham Port.

Edburton Contractors began recycling waste materials in 2004 with the purchase of its first Jaw Crusher used in the restoration and redevelopment of Brighton seafront with Brighton and Hove City Council.

Recycled Aggregates is an area that we have developed over recent years as part of our commitment to ensuring cost effectiveness, whilst limiting the impact our contracts have on the environment. Edburton Contractors now operate the following:

  • 20t and 40t Jaw Crushers
  • Powertrack 800 Deck Screener
  • Powerscreen Warrior 1400 Three-Way Mobiling Screening Plant
  • Doppstadt AK230 Shredder

These allow us to produce high quality secondary aggregates in line with WRAP Protocols and The Specification for Highway Works. Crushing and screening on site allows us to recycle inert waste material that would otherwise be diverted to landfill, which in return helps to reduce pollution and cost.
